Hello reader and writer friends,
I'm sorry I've neglected my blog. It's been a busy summer and to be honest, I've been focusing on getting my second book written in the Misty River series as well as promoting Book 1, Dancing in the Grass. My sales have been....okay. They've slowed down tremendously since June, but it's probably because I don't have the money right now to put into marketing. But I am hoping I'll do well at the upcoming Fall in Love New England Reader's Conference the weekend of October 16th and 17th.
This will be my first ever event as an attending author and I'm beyond excited. I just finished up 100 sets of charms that the authors give out during a Meet and Greet. The authors create charms based on their books and/or genre. I created charms using ballet slippers and a word charm, 'Dance'. I think they came out pretty cute.
Now I need to work on my author swag. I have postcards, business cards, pens and sanitizer to put in the attendee bags, but I wanted to make some items to hand out when someone buys a book. I came up with a cute journal idea and I think those who buy my book will enjoy the added bonus swag.
On top of all this, I still have to finish Draft 1 of Wishing on the Stars and then revise, edit, write another draft and on and on and hopefully have the book published by December 5th--which is eight weeks away! No pressure.
